Someone from Canada was selling them, I have no idea how they got a hold of them. If there is any family out there reading this, please let me know and I will forward the letters to you.

My father, John T. Mason Jr. from Chelsea, Massachusetts served in the Black Pather Division. He was a CpL T/5, in the Antitank Co 263 Infantry. He passed away in 2000. We talked occasionally about his time in service. I have some of his momentos from WWII including an original Black Panther shoulder patch. He liked to draw/sketch and I have a few drawings that he did while overseas. I know it is long shot, but would love to hear from anyone who recalls him from Fort Rucker, the journey over and back or during the time the Division was in Europe.

thanks, Phil Mason

I would appreciate from anyone with information about my Dad. Also, I am having a hard time locating the current address or contact information of the PVO. I was told that they are trying to gather interest from children of members.

However I am requesting files from The National Personnel Record Center located in St. Lewis, Missouri. I found out anyone discharged from the military before 1950, those records are considered open to the public and anyone can request them. You do need a name, social security number, Dob, and an approx date of service, however you can send what information you have and they will try to look It up for you. I thought this information may help some of you in your searches. Good luck. If anyone could tell me more about my grandfathers time in the military that would be great.

I recently found a photo of Co. L which I think is that entire co., about 150 soldiers, taken at Camp Robinson, Arkansas on Nov. 1943. Although I don't want to part with the photo, I would be willing to make a copy and send as an attachment to an email or mail it to any interested party.
